National Geographic Live: From Roots to Canopy, Nalini Nadkarni
Thursday, February 27 @ 6:30PM | Donna M. Morris Theater
National Geographic Live brings our Explorers from the field to your city, live on stage. Climb into the clouds with National Geographic Explorer and tree canopy ecologist Nalini Nadkarni to explore the magnificent wildlife and incredible science happening in the vast, hidden worlds suspended above our heads. This event is presented in partnership with NatureBridge - 20% of the ticket proceeds will be donated to support NatureBridge and their work.
Throughout human history, trees have provided our most important sources of sustenance, protection, and wonder. Nalini Nadkarni, a tree canopy ecologist, has spent four decades dangling among the branches to study the ways that forests inform our daily lives.

NatureBridge's mission is to connect young people to the wonder and science of the natural world, igniting self-discovery and inspiring stewardship of our planet. Through our overnight, hands-on environmental science programs, we take more than 30,000 students each year into our national parks to explore the outdoors, connect with their peers, discover themselves and develop a lasting relationship with the environment. NatureBridge is a nonprofit organization and the largest education partner of the National Park Service. Since 1971, we have welcomed over 1.6 million students to our campuses around the country including Yosemite National Park, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Olympic National Park, and Prince William Forest Park.
