Go Back Fright Night: Friday the 13th

JULY 12 @ 9:00PM | FRIGHT NIGHT AT FIELD HALL: FRIDAY THE 13TH (1980)
Donna M. Morris Theater at Field Arts & Events Hall
Pre-show free screening of THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI in the Sunset Bar & Lounge

Join us for a brand new film series: Fright Night at Field Hall! Horror-lovers are invited to join us for a free silent film screening in the Sunset Lounge followed by a horror favorite in the Donna M. Morris Theater. We're kicking off this scary series with the summer slasher Friday the 13th

Crystal Lake's history of murder doesn't deter counselors from setting up a summer camp in the woodsy area. Superstitious locals warn against it, but the fresh-faced young people -- Jack (Kevin Bacon), Alice (Adrienne King), Bill (Harry Crosby), Marcie (Jeannine Taylor) and Ned (Mark Nelson) -- pay little heed to the old-timers. Then they find themselves stalked by a brutal killer. As they're slashed, shot and stabbed, the counselors struggle to stay alive against a merciless opponent. Directed by Sean Cunningham.

Join us in the Sunset Lounge pre-show for dinner, drinks, and a free screening of the silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920). Enjoy our July menu with summery picnic-themed appetizers and entrees and a selection of seasonal cocktails and mocktails, crafted to enhance your celebration.

Field Arts & Events Hall, the Field Hall Gallery and the upstairs Sunset Bar & Lounge will open at 4:00PM. The free screening of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari will begin at 7:00PM. Theater opens for seating at 8:45PM. Friday the 13th will start in the Donna M. Morris Theater at 9:00PM. (1980) Rating: R, Runtime 1h 35min.

Food and beverages are available in the Sunset Lounge before the show.

Food and drink are not allowed in the theater

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)
At a carnival in Germany, Francis (Friedrich Feher) and his friend Alan (Rudolf Lettinger) encounter the crazed Dr. Caligari (Werner Krauss). The men see Caligari showing off his somnambulist, Cesare (Conrad Veidt), a hypnotized man who the doctor claims can see into the future. Shockingly, Cesare then predicts Alan's death, and by morning his chilling prophecy has come true -- making Cesare the prime suspect. Directed by Robert Wiene, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is one of the greatest examples of German Expressionism in film. Rating: Not Rated, Runtime 1h 7m
